Terms & Conditions

PAYMENT TERMS:
A 30% NON REFUNDABLE booking deposit will be required within 2 days of receiving your invoice to secure your booking. Once paid, your date is secure and this payment will be taken off the final amount owing on your invoice. The final payment for your cake order is required 1 week prior to the event date as stated on your invoice that will be emailed to your chosen email address.
Deposits are non refundable and non transferable. The deposit covers time spent researching, emailing, invoicing, contacting suppliers and pre order supplies as well as saving the date for your cake order. Postponements for the exact same event/ cake/details may be transferable. This will be up to the discretion of Crystal.

All changes to the cake order are needed in writing to hello@withthiscake.com.au. This must be done before the final payment is due which is 1 week prior to your event date. Changes may incur a fee. Changes after this date may not be possible and will be up to the discretion of With This Cake.

CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellations with more than 3 weeks notice will be able to receive a refund of monies paid LESS the deposit and LESS any items that have been purchased for your order. (Cake toppers, artificial flowers etc)

Cancellations less than 3 weeks before the event may be able to receive a credit LESS the deposit and Less items that have been purchased for your order. (Cake toppers, artificial flowers etc)to use at another time and a credit voucher will be emailed to you to use for another order. These are non transferable and valid for 2 years.

POSTPONEMENTS:

If you need to postpone or change your booking date this will need to be discussed with Crystal to check her availability. Not all dates will be available to change to. Contact Crystal ASAP with your new date to secure a new booking. Your deposit will be transferred to the new date.

CANCELLATIONS AND POSTPONEMENTS ARE NOT POSSIBLE WITH LESS THAN 7 DAYS NOTICE OF THE EVENT DATE.

NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. You may either cancel your order without receiving a refund or go ahead with your order and collect your cake at the chosen time.

In extremely special circumstances contact Crystal to discuss your options. Differing arrangements will be up to the discretion of Crystal.

If products have been bought or your cake has been started this will NOT be possible.

In the unlikely event that With This Cake is unable to fulfil your order due to, but not limited to, illness, accident or injury etc Crystal reserves the right to cancel the order and will refund monies paid by the customer. We will endeavour to help find another cake business for you if possible but this will depend on their availability.

Any personalised cake toppers / decorations pre purchased will not be refunded and can be collected or mailed to the customer. (Non contact pick up can be arranged )

With This Cake is not liable for any delay's/problems owing to and not limited to, accidents, disasters, pandemics, inclement weather, illness, injury or death or any force majeure

DELIVERIES:

Deliveries are available for all cakes, and can incur a delivery fee. A suitable time for delivery and setup will be arranged between Crystal and the wedding venue, or customer. Crystal may suggest delivery for other cakes of 3 or more tiers due to them being very delicate and need to be transported with extreme care.

CAKE COLLECTION:

The pick up address will be found on your invoice. Please let Crystal know what time she can expect you for collection. Crystal will not wait for you to collect the cake outside her operating hours. If you are running late you must contact Crystal to let her know to arrange an alternative option. The cake will be in a fully enclosed cake box ready for transport. All cakes are delicate and must be handled with EXTREME care.

STORAGE:

Fondant cakes must NOT be refrigerated. They should be kept in a cool dry area. Buttercream cakes must be refrigerated at all times until displaying at your event. Traveling with a buttercream cake that has not been refrigerated, will end in disaster.

Mud cakes are best consumed within 4-5 days. Non mud cakes must be consumed within 2 days. While fruit cakes, if stored well with last for at least 3 months.

All cakes are baked and decorated from scratch with fresh ingredients. We are not able decorate any cakes provided by the customer. Some special dietary requirements may be available but all cakes are made and decorated in an environment that may have traces of gluten, dairy, egg and nuts. Please specify if this will be a problem.

COMPLAINTS:

Any complaints must be in writing via email. If you are not satisfied with your cake it must be returned within 24 hours of the event to be inspected and tasted by Crystal. If it is more than 24 hours since the event or more than a few pieces have been consumed this will void any refunds. Partial or full refunds will be at the discretion of With This Cake and are not automatically guaranteed. Each case will be dealt with in the fairest way possible to ensure everyone is happy with the outcome.
